Where have all the good stores gone?
Every mountain town deserves a REAL mountain shop!!! Stuff that works minus the gouging.
That’s what Grant Diduck thought back in ’91 when he was twisting wrenches in the local bike shop. He was tired of tourist traps selling ropes that sat in the window, steel carabiners and external frame packs with Ferrari prices. So he started up with a display cabinet in the corner of the bike shop, filled it with a few ropes and carabiners and called it Gravity Gear.
Grant sadly passed away in an unfortunate climbing accident on February of 1993 but he left behind, albeit small, a legacy.
That’s when Dale Diduck packed up his kit and moved back to his hometown and decided keep the shop in the family and build on what his brother had started.
