The Ortovox Free Rider 28 is a freeride backpack built to allow control, comfort, and safety. Its flat CLASP FLEX BELT and soft back pads keep the pack stable and close-fitting, offering support and freedom of movement without restricting the spine. Inside, a dedicated pocket allows easy integration of the certified CLASP Spine Protector (sold separately) for added back protection. A roll-top closure and dual access points provide fast entry to gear, while a separate safety compartment keeps avalanche equipment at the ready. External attachments carry skis, ice axe, rope, or helmet, and side compression straps help the pack sit flat and stable during descents. With enough space for skins and crampons, plus hydration compatibility and an emergency card, it’s a versatile and reliable freeride companion. Made from recycled, PFC-free materials, the Free Rider 28 is climate-neutral and mountain-ready.
