The Edelrid OHMEGA is a lightweight, versatile belay assistant that significantly improves safety and comfort when lead climbing—especially when there’s a weight difference between climber and belayer. Designed for use in gyms, at the crag, and on alpine sport routes with a single rope, it works seamlessly for everyone from beginners to experienced climbers.

Using an integrated Dyneema® sling, the OHMEGA allows quick switching between three braking levels to match the rope team’s weight distribution. An integrated pulley reduces friction at the first bolt compared to a standard quickdraw, so rope drag stays minimal on long or difficult pitches. In a fall, the cam-assisted braking supports the belayer, helping prevent being pulled into the wall or lifted off the ground, while also enabling softer, more dynamic catches thanks to the short activation distance.

Compact and barely noticeable at just 190g, the Ohmega delivers powerful assistance only when it’s needed—making it an easy addition to any sport or gym rack.
